I am a professional Horse Trainer with my USDF Bronze and Silver Medals. My philosophy is that horses perform best through clarity and kindness. I have multiple awards over multiple years including Western NY Dressage Association Professional Rider of the Year.
My home base is in Shortsville, NY at Starry Night Sporthorses. I am blessed by being surrounded by amazing people, horses, and facilities.
I also travel for lessons and training. Starting soon will be online lessons (video and live).

MY BACKGROUND
GROWING UP
I grew up on a large Standardbred farm that at its peak was the home to 400 horses. At 14 I learned the meticulous care for a top race horse and at 16 was a stallion handler in the breeding shed. At 17 I became opened my own stable while going to RIT for four years to get my BS in business management. In my 20's I juggled training Standardbred race horses for my Harness Racing Hall of Famer father while he was rehabilitating from knee replacement surgery while still running my stable.
WHY DRESSAGE?
I started riding a 3/4 Arab 1/4 Welsh pony named Rogue. He taught me strong basics in dressage, jumping, and sitting a buck. Next was a Dutch warmblood, Zahn, who came to me as a hunter/jumper. I spent some time in the hunter ring but Pony Club turned me towards eventing. I was the only kid I knew that truly enjoyed the dressage part as opposed to just trying to get through it to get to cross country. Zahn was not a horse that wanted to stay sound jumping and dressage became a better option for him. I never looked back. Dressage is a passion planted in my heart and I can't imagine riding without that feel.
